Major reason to still be running Win95 or 98 is that 2K and XP won't install on
the majority of 6 year old systems because they do
not have a fast enough processor - ( and not enough memory or disk space to run
the current versions of the major office package
from MS)
so people who are reasonably happy with their older software's functionality
don't need to pay microsoft and Intel more money
(do you really need much of MS word's facilities to write a letter to your
builder)

95/98/Me (can't install 2K or XP) and a laptop that runs Me
and 2k)

Does this account for the 17 million bootleg copies of XPpro that's
installed on those 19 million computers?
