I have a client running a windows 2000 PRO workstation, using it as a central
storage (server like) unit. They have 6 pc's and 6 MAC units. Interestingly
enough this works just fine, considering 2000 has a 10 user connection limit.
Now, we want to remove the 2000 workstation (its getting old) and replace it
with an XP Pro box, which also has a 10 user connection limit. Wondering if it
will work just as well, with all 12 users??
Perhaps Microsoft is not counting the MAC units as licensed connections on the
2000 box, and perhaps it won't count them on the new XP box.
anyone have experience/an answer to this??
Thanks, Greg
