hi james - don't take this the wrong way, please, but 700 / 15 = 46.667 , or 'about' 47
if you round up. if, on the other hand, by "about 15mb" you mean 15.499 mb,
still roundable down, and you divide that into 700, you can fit just over 45 sessions on
a cd. sorry to be picking knits.

Not sure about a number of sessions limit - but each session requires about
15Mb of 'space' on the Disc
So a 700Mb CD would be limited to 40 sessions by the sheer physical space usage

Google on Multi-session+specification

got me http://www.cds.com/cdtypes.htm
and then on to http://www.cds.com/specs/

Google on Multi-session+specification+ISO9660+Joliet+mode1
got me http://library.n0i.net/faq/cdr/
Try section 2.5 perhaps as a start point

Oh - and I am not sure I like you - asking questions that lead me into so much
reading!

Number of sessions allowed on a CD-R

QBW2005PREM and auto backup?

I recently turned on Autobackup and set it to backup EVERY time the program
closes...
It puts the file in the HARD DRIVE Autobackup directory with a custom name for
each.

I use NERO in "Mastering Mode", (burning a regular CD-R as a compilation) onto
a CD-R. Geek info: Multi-session, ISO9660/Joliet(mode1) (NON-packet
recording.)

Nero "refreshes" the files automatically, and only burns the new ones, BUT "on
demand".

How many "sessions" will a CD-R accept? What is the largest number of SESSIONS
anyone has seen. I know there is a limit, but never saw what it was...

TIA, Rick Glazier, Moderator, QuickBooks List
