Could not find the DMA settings under XP (I'm a Win98 guy). Now I see :-) At some point I had problems keeping DMA on the CD-RW (Win98) and had to do a dance with moving them around on the controller. It was a Plextor and between models, they reversed the logic on the jumper located on the drive itself, which also added to confusion.
