This is still a bit confusing and I think not quite right --- by
'accounts' I assume you mean "pop mailboxes". There is *NO* connection
between pop mailboxes and email addresses that Pegasus uses for its
outgoing email [and little connection between pop mailboxes and email
addresses at which you can *receive* email... there's just me, one
person, but I have 20 identities [that is, different 'originating email
addresses' I occasionally use for this and that when I send email] but
only four pop mailboxes [a bunch of those email addresses funnel into
single mailboxes, obviously].

Actually, this isn't correct. A reply will use the identity shown in the
identity dropdown in the toolbar. And note: it is the identity in that
dropdown at the time you hit "REPLY"... *NOT* the identity you happened
to use to _read_ the message.

Correct. You can also change the identity in the reply-dialogue box
[just type 'd' while the dialogue box is up]. And the F9 trick will even
work on messages "Ready to Send" in the outbound queue [but not for
messages in "Final Form".
