Hi Russ,

My NU DVD burner came with the WinDVD editing/authoring/burning s/w. We
re-mixed a holiday film (mpg) with it yesterday, & burnt a DVD - no problems
at all! As usual, the human slows down the whole process - all that fiddling
about deleting scenes & the odd frame, & choosing transitions! I still have
3 1/2 hours of raw film from our trip to Qubec in 2002 to process! Maybe
when I retire!
I also have Pinnacle Studio, but it's too heavy for my wife to use!

For the slide show, if I burn a regular CD with a bunch of pix (jpg), my
Philips DVD player starts up a slide show all by itself! You can also do
that with WinDVD to make a DVD like a film, by just inserting the pix &
adjusting the display time (default = 4 seconds here). Then add some music &
maybe comments, but only if you can stand hearing them over & over ;-).

Be patient, & have lots of fun!

Regards,

Richard.be
