Boy - you sure put a lot of effort into your replies Marc. I never
fail to
be impressed.
In our Province (British Columbia) which is similar in government
importance
to a State government, they have proposed a new system. We will be
voting,
as a Province, in a referendum May 17 to decide whether on not to go
ahead
with this new system.
How does the new system work? In each riding (regional area within
the
Province), there will be from three to seven people elected to the
Provincial government. Here is an example. Under the new system,
suppose a
riding were to elect three folks, and ten ran for three seats. First,
they
would decide how many votes would be needed to be elected.
