Roger said to my question "Phil, how about net surfing and receiving email?
Temp internet files, cookies, email folders all will change" to my question to
the List "Can this List add any light on the subject?

Roger, I did NOT defragment the disk or web browse or send/receive email."
Roger, I am using the subject computer solely as a test bed for Acronis True
Image v8. Absolutely nothing else. No web browsing, no email, no "nothing".
I was hoping two things from List users of Acronis.

1. Has anyone every done a Recovery from a non-bootable Windows situation? If
"yes", did they ONLY select the LAST Incremental file and then Acronis restored
everything automatically?? It would be of great comfort to hear from someone
who actually did a complete recovery when their Windows was not bootable. If I
get no Reply then the List has few Acronis users or they have been very
fortunate and none have ever done a complete recovery to the state of last
Incremental BU, or they are sick & tired of my asking the question :).

2. Since the Incremental files I have made on the test bed PC have ranged in
size from 14MB to 509 MB...WITH NOTHING DONE WHATSOEVER BY MYSELF TO CHANGE ANY
FILES between Incremental file creation, I was hoping Acronis users, who
certainly have made Incremental BU files...otherwise what is the point of using
Acronis ? :)....would share with the List whether or not their Incremental
files are huge, as my test bed's have been. The reason I am asking repeatedly
is because I will NOT use an application for the sensitive business of recovery
from system crashes, unless I "understand" how the app works. I have been
using Drive Image from Powerquest and it works perfectly and understandably and
has saved my "bacon" more than once. But Drive Image ONLY makes Complete
BUs...does NOT have the capability to make Incremental BUs. That is why I
bought Acronis and I am still seeking "answers" to two obvious questions to
which everyone who uses Acronis "successfully" should have an answer based on
their "use" of the software.

Phil
