How many messages are you getting each time you check mail? The number of 
messages equals the number of personalities affected, I think. Have you 
changed all your personalities, and both the incoming and outgoing 
settings?  What you describe is exactly what happened to me, also with no 
changes that I had deliberately made. My hypothesis is that one of the 
Norton updates makes it more sensitive than it used to be.

It is happening every time I open the program. I am using Nortons program, 
but it has worked up till now, with no changes made by me. I tried 
changing the secure socket within Eudora to never but nothing happened.
