I agree, probably a hit or miss thing. There are plenty of horror stories from both 
cable and DSL customers. Although from anecdotal comments I've heard, 
SBC DSL seems to be more reliable than Verizon DSL.

Wow, I have experienced the exact opposite. Here in So Cal. I have had not
one problem with Comcast speed or reliability. OTH I have to call Verizon
DSL every other month to fix my mother's home connection and the one at her
business. I guess cable vs. dsl is just a hit or miss thing.
