I'm pretty sure I remember on Win98 that there was a checkbox on the shortcut to DOS programs where you could select whether the dos window stays open or not when the program terminates.
Is that still available in XP/Pro? I've looked through all the tabs on the shortcut to a DOS program and I can't figure out how to do that [it was driving me crazy: the program got a read error off of the CD, printed out an error message [that I never got to see because...] it then exited and the window...poof... went away. [found the problem by running from the command line, of course] /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- ALL messages to the list MUST include a descriptive subject.
