Yeah, it may be like gun control. We have numerous rules/laws to "protect"
us from criminal/terrorist buying guns. Bottom line is it only creates extra
red tape for us law bidding citizens. As the bumper said, "When guns are
outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. (In case you have not figured it
out....they do not go through the system...or showed I say they go through
"their" system..)

With today's computer technology, it is easy to make what ever ID you want.

Subject: OT: Senate approves electronic ID Card bill

Last-minute attempts by online activists to halt an electronic ID card
failed Tuesday when the U.S. Senate unanimously voted to impose a sweeping
set of identification requirements on Americans.

I' am not only affraid at the fact that we aready need a passport to
re-enter the US but at the rate that this approved senate bill's is going I
am affriad that pretty soon you'll need a passport to not only enter your
own state but to cross from state to state. Its ironic that for over 200
years our founding fathers granted unrestricted and free access to travel
anywhere in the U.S. but I am very skeptical that this new electronic ID
card will do anything to stop terrorists from carrying out their evil and
nefarious motives.
