OK, I will go with consensus. How large a drive can I mount on this machine, and do I want to install XP instead of 98SE. Keep old 3 gig drive as OS partition?
I would keep the 3g drive for the OS & I'd run XP instead of 98se as it has many more features & can handle larger drives that you can format in NTFS which is a much more robust file system needing less maintenance than drives in 98 do.
