Depends on your contract - most free phones are on 1 yr contracts so after the contract has run out the phone is yours to do what you want with - I just sold an unlocked tri band Nokia business phone 6310i for $160 (equiv) went on ebay within 40 mins. > >If it's illegal, why do they tell you to go to phone shops and have them >unlocked? Yes - if unlocked you have the choice of operator or even operators and you can get dual sim card holders that switch operator/card on each re-start.
