I thought there was a way to turn it off in the UI without teakui? I swear I
saw the option and I refuse to use tweakui (it causes other problems and people
forget it's installed so you spend hours troubleshooting... )
I've never been able to get it to stick by disabling it selectively.

One can do this selectively with the popup that comes up the 1st time a new
autorun category is launched or they can run Tweakui.exe then go to My
Computer\AutoPlay\ & then Handlers and scroll down the list of them on the
right & then click the edit button at the bottom or you can go the
subcategory of \AutoPlay\Types & turn them all off or you can go to
subcategory of \AutoPlay\Drives & turn drives off that you don't want
autorun.inf acknowledged.
