I thought there was a way to turn it off in the UI without teakui?
Not that most people can find.
I swear I saw the option and I refuse to use tweakui (it causes other
problems and people forget it's installed so you spend hours
troubleshooting... )
This is all news to me & I've never had a problem with tweakui nor has any
of my clients but of course I don't bother ask if they have it installed
because I'm usually the one that did the installation. Relying on users to
be able to answer what they have on their system is useless. How many
Lusers have multiple copies of Acrobat Reader on their system? The only
problem with tweakui is that is not automatically installed in the Control
Panel like it use to be.
I've never been able to get it to stick by disabling it selectively.
I fooled around with them selectively whenever they use to popup from
within the GUI & I could never get them to stick either so that's why I've
turned it completely off in the Group Policy Editor. ;-)
I don't need no stickin autorun anything on my system when I insert a disk.
A classic case of MSFT dummying down the OS if you ask me because Lusers
don't know what app is running what data & this autorun stuff just makes
matters worser. ;-)
