AS far as I know, you won't be able to interact between the machines. We
use both platforms at the school where I teach. We have a stand alone PC
server that the iBooks can see (well sort of, they can tap into some of the
files but not others). None of the iBooks can see any of the shared files
on ANY of the shared drives on ANY of the other computers in the building.
All our iBooks are OS 9.2.2. If this is a new one with OSX, all bets are
off. Have you tried the mac list from peach.ease?

If your printer is on a network, there may be hope for that. You can open
the printers list in "chooser" (again 9.2.2) and at least look around. Our
Macs can see the printers in the building that are on the central network
(wireless), but the PC's can't see the Apple only printers at all. You may
need to install the driver for the printer on the Mac (assuming there is a
driver for it -- I couldn't find any Mac drivers at all on the HP site -- it
may not be compatible).

Macs do wireless Internet VERY well. On my home network (PC, XP, only DSL
is networked), I email stuff back and forth and use a memory stick.

Subject: Add iBook to Home Network

how do I add an iBook (yes that is a Mac) to my PC network? Running WinMe.
The iBook connects FLAWLESSLY (wirelessly) to the internet and faster than
the PC (cabled) - go figure. but it doesn't "see" the PC or the HP K80
printer - YET - but I am hopeful that this auspicious group can send me in
the right direction.
