A long-time friend just sent me the following...
I have been half-heartedly beta testing Agent 3.0 and I am sorry to
have to say that I suspect that there will be a lot of disappointed
users when it is finally released. Which I don't expect will be
anytime real-soon-now.
Basically no improvements have been made at all to the e-mail side of
the program, and none are planned for version 3.0.
Unless you are *really* into Usenet you will not see any benefit over
the current version - except for a convoluted learning curve. You
would be better off with the current Agent and Hamster to handle the
multiple news server situation.
If you are into maillists you may as well invest your time in another
more up to date mailer - like Thunderbird for example.
