I don't know if it's relevant but a similar thing happened to me upon start-up of a new system using an MSI board (7135) with an A64 3400 processor. When attempting to boot it initially and without any software installed, I could not get into the BIOS or move from the initial startup screen. I ended up having to RMA the board and they repaired problems with the BIOS. Works perfectly now.

It worked just fine for about 15 hours. After installing PC-Cillin 2005 and restarting it locks up completely on the beginning screen where I can select bios setup or boot menu. After several tries, I did one last power on and waited 10 minutes. Nada! Suggestions? Warm Regards, Lou ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about anything: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
