Subject: Re: Retail v OEM

So my question is what is the difference between Retail and OEM? Doesn't Retail get anything for a $100 besides Bill's big grin?

I have seen absolutely no difference in the files etc. of the different versions (OEM, Full or Upgrade) of any Windows 95, 98, 98SE, Me or XP operating system. Naturally there were improvements to operating system CD's (Example: XP with SP1 and later SP2 slipstreamed), but the same files still appeared in all versions, OEM, Full and Upgrade. Technically, you are supposed to pay extra (Buy Full) if you build your own computer and do not purchase from one of us OEM's, but who does things technically? Those kitchen table builders hack Upgrade or OEM on most every time!
