Never found the default TWAIN, or a method to do so. Uninstalled
everything that had to do with pictures: digicam software, a couple
scanners and printer/scanner, which were installed at one time. Then
re-installed HP software and the TWAIN driver for the HP showed up.
Hint was in the of the Epson pages, that implied possible conflict
among various TWAIN devies.
