If you can see it in explorer, left click on it, right click, choose format
Jimmy A. Hughes [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.earthlink.net/~homeinspector/ I have a Sony 2gb thumb drive that has gone belly up. Warranty long gone. The Sony site is no help at all. I have Googled for help but not really found anything that works. WinXP Pro sees the drive when I plug it in and assigns a Drive Letter, but when I try to access it the system asks for the unit to be plugged in. If I go into Disk Management the thumb is not seen. I tried running CHKDSK from the Run Dialog but to no avail. I want to try to Fdisk and Format to see if that will help. Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this? It is really no big deal except I want to see if it can be done. Bob J.
