Rick, et al Sorry for the delay - missed your response on my daily review, and just found it when considering what's worth archiving
The advice (that so far appears to be correct) was: Get rid of the Norton (Ghost) tasks that are scheduled to start/run at midnight, and use My Computer Manage Services and Applications Services to set the service 'Norton Ghost' ( that runs .......\Agent\PQV2iSvc.exe ) to be manual start and, when you will want to do another backup, Full, or Incremental - set it back to Automatic in the session before you start the system for the backup. ( so it's running in the session when you do the backup) Then after the backup is complete stop it, and set it back to manual start. Be prepared for a delay in the start-up when it is activated as it will check the control entries, and placement on the drive of every file in the partitions you have backed-up JimB. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rick Glazier" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 09, 2005 3:07 PM Subject: Re: Tech Support -- AKA:The Random Answer Generator > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "James Button" > > > and told me how to adjust ghost 9 on my system so it wouldn't cripple the OS > > Can you tell "us" that part?
