Rick, et al

Sorry for the delay - missed your response on my daily review, and just
found it when considering what's worth archiving

The advice (that so far appears to be correct) was:

Get rid of the Norton (Ghost) tasks that are scheduled to start/run at
midnight,

and use My Computer Manage Services and Applications Services
to set the service 'Norton Ghost'
( that runs .......\Agent\PQV2iSvc.exe )
to be manual start

and, when you will want to do another backup, Full, or Incremental - set it
back to Automatic in the session before you start the system for the backup.
( so it's running in the session when you do the backup)

Then after the backup is complete stop it, and set it back to manual start.

Be prepared for a delay in the start-up when it is activated as it will
check the control entries, and placement on the drive of every file in the
partitions you have backed-up

JimB.
