What about the DW7000 or 7200 or whatever it is?
The DW7700 is business class service, and while fast, it is VERY expensive.
The DW7000 is the successor to the DW6000 and is aimed at the consumer crowd
but it is not yet available. The beta testing is complete on it and the folks
that did the testing have indicated that it was quite fast and they hated
sending the beta units back. OTOH, I suspect they had the testers on their own
transponder so when they start "real world" installation and overload the
transponders as they seem to have done with the DW40XX and the DW6000 it may be
more of the same.
No one has been able to find any plan info or pricing for the DW7000 yet, but
it is supposed to be available starting some time in September. Whether it
actually will be is anyone's guess...
