When you are getting the laptop consider
a CPU type that slows down when not doing much,
a fair amount of memory to avoid using the pagefile
A disk drive that is set to turn off after a short period

And - get the technician at the store to show you how easy it is to open the
case and
upgrade memory, change the battery - hard drive and CD/DVD drive
and then get it all back working again!

Oilskins, gumboots, Kayak and paddle needed at the moment
