Speakeasy does not work very well with Direcway satellite. You will get much better results using www.testmynet.com. For downloads, use some of the larger files to get a more realistic depiction of your actual speed.
You really need to read through the FAQs on the BBR satellite forum. Many of the problems you ask about here is already covered there, and without meaning to demean the level of expertise of the good folks here at Win-Home, if you have not, or are not currently, using satellite internet, there is a lot to learn.
