Yes!  And grateful I am. As I suggested - we should all make a note of it.
I actually went through all my Hdd's and deleted them all.  Made a bit of
space on all.

One thing that struck me was the original problem on my download drive (D)
earlier when I, twice, decided to copy the entire contents to another Hdd
and format the drive then copy them back to regain the mysterious lost
space - never considered NProtect!

Perhaps one of the "upgrades" or "service packs" for Norton cured this
problem as it wasn't apparent on any of the other drives except for C drive
which I never copied and reformatted for obvious reasons it's the OS
partition and it don't work without an engine.......
