Ok, you can use fdsik which come courtesy of Micro$oft

with no files or data on it, not the easiest thing to use though.

I'd recommend using PowerQuest partition magic, (which is now Norton
PartitionMagicT 8.0 since they took them over - let's hope they haven't ****ed
it up). Plenty of guides on how to use it if you want to do a search in
Google. PartitionMagic is easy to use and does not destroy any data on the
drive but you should always back up anything you can't live without just in
case. Size wise? How about Windows + program files and all the other C: drive
files / folders then add 3 gigs to that? Anyway you can always adjust it to
your needs again if necessary.

There are other hard drive partitioning apps, I'm sure the collective knowledge
on here will know of a few alternatives.
Maybe it's just terminology but when I go to reformat, don't I get the opportunity to create new partitions of arbitrary size??
