The "right side QL area" is NOT a Quick Launch bar. It is the "system tray". The system tray icons represent RUNNING programs.
To get rid of a tray item: a) stop the program from automatically starting or running OR b) look through the program's options for a check-box that talks about the "tray" and un-check it. -----Original Message----- From: Windows Home/SOHO [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Stephen Bird Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 5:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Remove Items From QuickLaunch On Thu, 8 Sep 2005 13:24:39 -0700, Gary wrote: >Did you want to remove those two programs altogether? >If so, the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel would be the place >to do it. No, I just want to remove them from the right-side QL area. I can get to the programs in other ways when/if I want to use them. I've tried looking in their Settings area for ways to remove them from QL, but so far I haven't found anything. -- cheers, Stephen -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
