I went through his exercise recently and my research says if you fill slots
1 and 3 (or 2 and 4) with equal size memory then you have a dual channel
system.
HOWEVER if you add memory to a third slot ONLY it reverts to a single
channel system.

>>I have been told that on a 4 slot MB with Dual channel -- put matching

>>Slot 1 -- 512
>>Slot 2 -- 1024
>>Slot 3 -- 512
