I have something like this on my cpu (mounted on a heatsink obviously),
<http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=6315&GroupID=368>
and I can SEE dust inside the unit, so I have to unscrew the blower from
the heatsink, crack the casing on the blower, and clean it all out,
meanwhile working around all the wiring etc involved (I have a rotary
speed-control on the front of the PC linked to the blower, the blower
itself is powered via a molex patch-through), but I dont really want to
have to do all that each and every month, so if I could filter the air
before it gets there it would be much easier ;) However, there are no
computer parts suppliers locally, so everything would have to be mail
order, and the postage would cost more than the filter-sheets, hence the
request for a domestic substitute :)
