Excellent point.  I'll surf over to the Gateway site and have the driver in
hand (well on CD) before I begin this project.

One item that is essential in redoing any machine is to be sure 
to have the MB chipset drivers, especially if the machine has a 
newer chipset that may not be included natively in XP. Without 
the correct chipset drivers, bus devices will not be properly 
recognized and will usually refuse to use the correct device 
driver provided for them. The "New hardware found" loop on 
reboot is the typical result. :)

Spyware keeps me VERY busy too. And since I am based on a 
college campus (when I am not traveling around the state), I 
see a **LOT** of it.
