Not a great weekend for me. I started what I expected to be a routine upgrade
from Netscape 7.2 to 8.0. For reasons that are not worth going into, Netscape
is my mail client. It works just fine for my limited needs at home. After
about a half hour of checking everything I could think of, I realized that
apparently this version really doesn't have a mail client. I did some poking
around and came across references to Mozilla Thunderbird, which some said is
really just the 7.2 mail client.

This seems like an awful lot of work and risk (how I feel any time I've got to
reconfigure my email service) for what may be the negligible gain of using the
version 8 browser.

Any thoughts? Did I miss something; is there really some kind of mail client
work-around I missed? Is version 8 worth the hassle? If so, can Thunderbird
be installed so that it imports all my email setting AND current messages in
the folder structure in which they are organized in 7.2? If that's possible,
is there a dummy proof walk through anyone is aware of?

TIA, as always

Harry
