GM Rick - You certainly seem to have an odd one.
I just went to the MSFT site you mention below and it works perfectly normally with both Firefox and IE6. Tried on 2 different machines, both with MSFT wireless mice, but different models. Using Win XP SP2 on both. I also regularly use numerous https:// sites with no problem. What do your computers have in common? Router, network firewall, etc.? Sorry I can't offer anything more definitive, but am drawing a blank on this one... Obviously, will be interested in the outcome. - Bill Hatcher [EMAIL PROTECTED] - -----Original Message----- From: Windows Home/SOHO [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of WinHomeList Sent: Friday, September 30, 2005 10:00 To: [email protected] Subject: [WINHOME] Placing the cursor for Copy and paste on SOME WEB pages. I'm having trouble with placing the cursor for Copy and Paste on SOME WEB pages. Specifically, placing the cursor where I want it with the mouse. I have been trying to narrow down when it happens. It seems(?) to be worse on Secure sites (* httpS//:....) Lots of MS ones also do not work as expected. For example, going to http://www.microsoft.com/ I can not place the cursor into the Search box - just under where it says Microsoft Worldwide / Site Map. (This is on the US site, if it matters.) I "can" hit tab and step (the focus) through ALL the links on the page and get in to the search box "eventually"... That takes quite awhile on some pages, (and is not using the mouse...) That has been my "work around" for quite some time, but I just built a new 100% clean computer and have the same exact(?) problem. I have tried several mice types and brands with no luck, just on the chance it really "is" the mouse... -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about anything: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html
