First is the blank disk DVD-R (DVD-Recordable) or CD-R (CD-Recordable)?
Next is your player capable of writing CD's, DVD'S, or both?
If your CD/DVD unit can write CD's and/or DVD'S what software program are
you using to write the data?
Please note that you cannot just copy data to a blank CD or DVD unless the
disk is either CDR-W (a Rewriteable CD) or DVD+RW (a rewriteable DVD).
