I tried that, I removed symantec/shared files, I used startup cop,
and still the program still wants to load something. I am using win
xp pro if I didn't mention that earlier.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, but so far no luck.

There is probably an installed driver related to that file. In the
Device Manager, under the View menu item, select the 'Show hidden
devices' option. A 'Non-Plug and Play Drivers' device type should
appear. Expand that device type and see if there aren't any left
over norton/symantec drivers listed. Uninstall any that may be
listed. Their drivers usually start with sym. Check the driver's
properties if unsure.
