They remove after like 3 bounces over 3 days but it's possible the problem was 
fixed after the last bounce but before lsoft sent the removal message. 

As for what the isp said - don't believe them. There could be any number of 
reasons why it failed and the first line of tech support may not be aware of 
the problems. It could be am internet routing problem unrelated to your ISP or 
Lsoft - for example, last week level3 and another backbone got into a 
schoolyard spat and took their balls home.  By cutting off access to each 
others subscribers, they disrupted service for a large number of internet 
users.
