Yes, do that homework and leave no stone unturned!  Xerox, Lexmark, and
others sell their printer technology to other brands.  You could be getting
this "feature" without buying one of the known brands.

Also, if you were the Secret Service, would you admit that "most" or "all"
color lasers were so compromised?  That would cause the people they want to
catch to instantly move to another printing technology.

Do they???  The article said SOME not ALL.  I try to avoid the  use of 
encompassing terms like "always" "never" "all" "none".
 
However, if they do, you're probably right.
 
If I were going to buy one, I would have to do my  homework first; research 
the make & model.
