This didn't auto update probably because both OS's were already installed by themselves. > > Reverse the order and you don't solve this with just a change in boot.ini. > > If you care to give a history of drive 0 and drive 1, there may be more > suggestions. I first had Win98 installed & running on the C drive. I then put in a new drive as the C drive without the Win98 connected. I installed WinXP on that drive. Then I decided I would dual boot with drive 0 being XP & drive 1 being 98. Now I would like to edit the boot menu to be able to boot to either system. I have seen the entry in a boot menu for this combination but can't remember what it is. I was hoping someone here would have this combination & be able to post the entries they had in their boot menu. > > Here is the Microsoft recommended approach: > http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/meandxp.mspx > > Carl -- C L Shaw <>< <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Today is a moment for you to clip yet another strand from the rope of earth, so that when he returns you won't be tied up. -- ---------------------------------------- To Change your email Address for this list, send the following message: CHANGE WIN-HOME your_old_address your_new_address to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note carefully that both old and new addresses are required.
