Hi Jim,
I suggested the debug version. He has to make an adjustment to the
compiler to compile a debug version. The debug version of any
application contains several error checking conditions and generates
a log file and a trace of what functions execute when a task was
carried out. This enables a developer to track down where an error is
taking place.

Actually, over the years he has been 99% better than any tech
support anywhere!
He is at a loss to explain it or track it down, even after
threatening
his live <smile>.
Someone suggested a debug version of the application. I hit him
with that suggestion but haven't heard back just yet. Maybe he's
out catching "de bugs" for it <smile>.
I had my system down to ZERO applications running (except the
ones that MUST run the system), and had ended ALL processes
that I could end and keep afloat, the sucker still didn't connect.
Under those circumstances, I do believe that a developer should
know enough about his program to pinpoint the problem............at
least within a couple miles <smile>.
I did send him two of my files which he used on his copy to run it.
It worked. Weird!
He suggested re-installing Windows. I just ain't ready for that
action. I don't want the application bad enough to go through all
that! Otherwise, I'd just update my 3-year old computer!!
Regards,
Jim
