It sounds to me like maybe you tried using the USB 2.0 port before 
rebooting Windows and that you got an error because the driver was 
NOT initialized yet then you rebooted but then it was too late BUT I 
would NOT expect that to give you a CMOS Bootblock error. If doing 
the USB 2.0 drivers lead to the CMOS Bootblock error then there has 
to have been something wrong with that mombo, imnsho.

Yeah, I think any device utilization that would affect the CMOS settings
would indicate a fault in the motherboard.
I'll have the new(er) board Wednesday I'm told.

Cheap, won't work, but FAST DELIVERY!   
Kinda like the chief's Good News and Bad News concerning Winter and the
buffalo chips...
