Microsoft's AntiSpyware Rebranded 'Windows Defender'

Maybe this has been discussed before and I missed it, but is it just me or is using an MS program of this nature like putting the fox in charge of the hen house? <shrug>

I don't see any conflict. MS has a vested interest to ensure
that its OS operates smoothly and efficiently.
