In the area of generic advice, I would:
1. Uninstall all instances of this printer so none appear in Printers and
Faxes.
2. Still in Printers and Faxes, click File, Server Properties, Drivers, and
remove the drivers.
3. Download the latest drivers from the HP or Epson support section.
4. Install the new drivers per HP's or Epson's instructions.
If you'll identify the printer I might be able to find something more
specific.
