P2P nets such as BitTorrent usually need certain ports forwarded. If you don't use them, you probably don't need port forwarding. I haven't used Skype, but the other apps you need don't need any special port configuration.

PL] this is the only setting that I have not set. I use Eudora, Internet Explorer and very occasionally I will use Skype and MSN messenger. How should I set the port forwarding?

I thought port forwarding was only when I was running a server behind the router?
