Well I wish it was that simple. The girlfriends iPod shows up as 
a removable drive alright, but none of the music shows up that 
way. It could be that she doesn't have explore set up to show 
hidden or system files, but it is HER computer so I can't play 
with it. The only things that show up are an e-card thing and a 
calender or some such nonsense. No music files are shown.

That's why we were looking for a more user friendly solution. We 
found Anapod, Copypod and ephPod; but were hoping for a 
recommendation based on experience. Anapod sounds good, but the 
trial is too crippled to tell if it will do what is needed.

It may not be all iTunes fault as she has multiple applications 
for burning and ripping fighting over who does what, but from 
what I've read iTunes does more to protect Apple's interests 
than the iPod user's.

So is anyone using Redchair Software's Anapod?
