Hi James,
I am using xcopy and the /z switch is not necessary. I wonder why I
put it there given that none of my drives are network drives?
I have removed the /z switch with no success.

I'd say that it's probably due to the length of a filename you are
trying to
generate .
and - having checked the original message, I do hope you are using
xcopy,
not copy!
Also - why the use of the /z option
