My brother just got a new Netgear wireless router and Comcast HSI service
and a Kodak digital camera and guess what? A premonition told me that I
would end up being invited to spend Christmas dinner that evening as luck
would have it. And of course this goes without saying, spend some time
configuring and setting it up. No problem he only lives 10 minutes north of
me. I brought my own diagnostic CD and toolkit with me just in case if
anything should go wrong. I always try to expect the unexpected. ;)

It was a good Christmas but as I always say the work of an IT pro sometimes
never rests just when you least expect it. OBTW I got my wish for Christmas
A Nikon Coolpix 4600 4.0 magapixel digital camera.

Hi,

A couple of Xmases ago at my brother's place, I managed to work on 6 PCs in
one day!
i.a. connecting an old IBM PS/1 that I was giving to our sister to get her
on line (she was the last!),
setting the BIOS password on a paranoid cousin's machine (I forget if she
made me eat the bit of paper she wrote it on!).
3 more had various ailments or needed config changes.
PC #6 was the clean one & on line & which I used to d/l stuff I needed for
the rest.

This year? Installing a webcam & headset on my ex-girlfriend's PC, & giving
a printer to her daughter (no install - she's a born geek & needs the
experience!).

Wishing you more business & less hassle for zoob *.
