Right click My Computer | Manage | Services and Applications |
Services | Themes
The status should be "started" and startup type "automatic". To
make changes right click on the Services row and select properties.
If it's already on "automatic" and still giving you problems, you
could try reverse psychology and change it to "manual" or "disabled".
Great tip, I'll have to archive that one just in case Eve asks about
it again. ;-)
