For Windows 2000 and XP only: Allow Full Permissions to the ATI software key
in the registry.
**NOTE: Before editing the registry, be sure that you have a backup
available. You can back up the Registry by clicking on "Registry", then
"Export registry file", then name it and save. ATI will not be responsible
for problems encountered modifying the registry**

Step 1:

- Open the RUN command, type REGEDIT, click OK
- Click on the (+) icon next to the word "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
- Click on the (+) icon next to the word "Software"
- Highlight the "ATI Technologies" key
- Click Security, select Permissions (WINDOWS 2000) or Right click on the
key and select Permissions (WINDOWS XP)
- Check the option for Allow: Full Control
- Click Apply, click Ok
- Close Registry editor
Step 2:

- Click Start, Settings, open Control Panel
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs
- Highlight ATI Multimedia Center x.xx (x.xx represents the version number),
select Change/Remove
- Choose the Repair option and proceed
- RESTART Windows
If the issue persists, the issue may stem from an outside source or system
configuration issue unknown by ATI. It is suggested to investigate other
applications or OS configurations that block the required interfaces for ATI
Multimedia Center.

Subject: Limited Acct ATI video Stopped working

In my Limited Acct ATI video Stopped working soon after the last update
from MS, it worked fine
before the ms update. I didn"t use it for a few days after the update,
so not shure it is related.
Got error: ATI Multimedia Center::ResMngr
FATAL Error: AtiSServ LogManager Failed To StartUp!AMD Athlon-PECM 1400
MHz AGP Pro

Got the error in all programs in ATI Multimedia Center.

Windows Media Player and Nero Show Time still work fine but ATI
Multimedia player is much
better than these and has more features.

Switched to admin to remove and reinstall, but tried it first in admin
and everything worked fine.

AMD Athlon-PECM 1400 MHz AGP Pro
Windows XP Pro Upgrade from Win 98SE
SP 2 installed
Bios:Award Medallion (06/12/01)
Ram 512 MB
Video Adapter: ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500 (128MB)

Is there any way to fix this problem without reinstalling?
If I reinstall will that fix the problem or create more?

Thank You Joe Harrison
