As Tim says - it's by file type. You will notice the top entry on the right click menu is open Then lower in the list there may be Open With and then even further down there is Sendto
You can add to the send to by adding shortcuts to application software to the sendto directory under your personal directory tree see your 'id' version of C:\Documents and Settings\<your id>\SendTo Note shortcuts to shortcuts won't work I add wordpad notepad MSword Excel Irfanview My Documents For the Open with - select 'Chose..', when presented with the list select the entry you want ensure the 'always use ' is NOT selected unless you want that program added to the top of the list shown as Open With and used for the Open. The Open with list keeps the always use entry at the top of the list, and whatever you used last is moved to be second, pushing any other entries lower down the list You can also use the Windows Explorer - Tools Folder Options File Types to Change the Associated program to be used to 'Open' the file, or Advanced to enter additional programs so you will be asked to chose which application/program to use for a file of that type JimB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Poer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 6:23 PM Subject: Re: Reassigning app to a file -- ---------------------------------------- To Change your email Address for this list, send the following message: CHANGE WIN-HOME your_old_address your_new_address to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note carefully that both old and new addresses are required.
